Bank ABC in Jordan issues its Second Sustainability Report

Amman, Jordan – Bank ABC in Jordan has announced the issuance of its second sustainability report, highlighting the Bank’s key achievements and initiatives in the areas of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) during the past year, as part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability principles and enhancing transparency.​​​

​​​This report has been prepared in line with international best practices in sustainability reporting and in alignment with the disclosure requirements of the Amman Stock Exchange, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Bank continues to align its operations with the Central Bank of Jordan’s directives on green finance, as outlined in the CBJ’s Green Finance Strategy.

The report outlines the Bank’s efforts in a range of areas including empowering local communities, environmental initiatives and social responsibility, in addition to the progress made in integrating sustainability standards into its operational strategy. This reflects the Bank’s commitment to provide stakeholders with accurate and transparent information on its non-financial impact.​​​

In this regard, Mr. George Farah Sofia, General Manager of Bank ABC in Jordan, said: “We remain committed to sustainability through tangible initiatives and transparent reporting that reflect our vision for the future. The Bank has continued to support a wide range of community initiatives across various sectors, reaching over 10,000 beneficiaries through an investment of JD 291,150. This report demonstrates the progress we have made and our responsibility toward society and the environment.”​​​
